  • Day 1: Dubrovnik - Arrival at the airport

Upon your arrival at Dubrovnik Airport, we'll welcome you in the arrivals lounge for a scheduled "welcome meeting." Look for our guide/driver holding a sign with your name. Please inform us in case of any delays. You'll then be chauffeured to your accommodation in Dubrovnik for a three-night stay. If you arrive early and feel energetic, we can arrange optional activities from our list. Otherwise, take the time to relax and explore the sights at your leisure. Enjoy free time, dinner, and an overnight stay.

  • Day 2: Herceg Novi & Monastery Savina

Embark on a journey from Dubrovnik to Mostar, one of the oldest and most renowned settlements in Bosnia-Herzegovina, celebrated for its rich history, diverse nightlife, and exquisite examples of Ottoman architecture. Immerse yourself in the Oriental atmosphere that pervades every corner of the city, particularly in Mostar’s captivating Old Town. The Old Bridge, also known as Stari Most, stands as a testament to Ottoman Turkish architecture. Commissioned by Suleiman the Magnificent, this reconstructed 16th-century masterpiece once stood for 427 years before being destroyed during the war in 1993. Explore the charming Old Town surrounding the bridge, where narrow streets, cozy cafes, and inviting restaurants offer breathtaking views of Stari Most, the Neretva River, and the majestic mountains. Indulge in authentic handcrafted goods, savor Bosnian cuisine, and peruse local products during your time in Mostar. In the evening, return to Dubrovnik for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 3: Explore Old Town of Dubrovik including cable car & Konavle (optional - Dubrovnik Cellars)

The guided tour begins with a stroll around the Old Town, passing landmarks such as Onofrio’s Fountain and the Old Port, integral to Dubrovnik's maritime history. Along the way, you'll glimpse historic churches and the renowned Arsenal where ships were built and loaded. Explore intriguing sites like the Quarantine, St. Luke and St. John fortresses, and iconic landmarks including St. Blaise Church, the Cathedral, Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace, and Orlando’s Column. Consider walking the 2 km city wall for stunning views (not included in tour price), especially for Game of Thrones fans as some scenes were filmed in Dubrovnik. Next, take a cable car to Mount Srdj for panoramic views of Dubrovnik and the Elaphiti Islands. Then, head to Cavtat, a charming medieval harbor town, where you can enjoy a seaside promenade lined with palm trees and visit cultural sites like the Franciscan Monastery and Račić Mausoleum. Continue through Konavle valley, passing picturesque villages and the Falcon Tower. Explore Gruda village to learn about silk production and Konavle embroidery. Optional visit to Dubrovnik Cellars "Dubrovački Podrumi" to taste prominent wines like Plavac Mali and Crljenac, accompanied by traditional snacks. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 4: Dubrovnik – Budva

In the morning, we depart from Croatia and head to Montenegro, traveling from Dubrovnik to Budva, where you'll spend the next three nights. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to unwind or explore additional sights of your choosing, such as swimming, walking, shopping, or other activities you prefer. If you're interested in something more unique, we can arrange optional activities from our list. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 5: Ostrog Monastery, Cetinje & Mausoleum (opt. Lipa Cave or Njeguši)

Begin with a visit to Ostrog Monastery, a spiritual gem perched high in the cliffs, annually attracting pilgrims from around the world. Explore the monastery's cave-like chapel and hear captivating tales of Saint Basil. Next, discover Cetinje's rich history, including landmarks like Biljarda and King Nikola's Palace, before ascending Lovćen National Park to visit Njegoš's mausoleum. Marvel at the mausoleum's grandeur and panoramic views from the circular viewpoint. Alternatively, opt for Lipa Cave or a visit to the royal village of Njeguši, known for its prosciutto and cheese specialties. Conclude your tour with a scenic drive along the Austrian-Hungarian serpentine road to Kotor and Budva. Enjoy a late lunch at the national restaurant “Vidikovac,” featuring delicious local cuisine. Vegetarian options are available upon request (lunch not included in tour price). Afterwards, enjoy free time and overnight stay.

  • Day 6: Journey Budva - Žabljak & Canyons with Rafting Tara River

In the morning, we depart from Budva and head north to explore the breathtaking canyons and rivers of Montenegro. Our journey begins with a scenic drive through the Morača Canyon, renowned for its dramatic cliffs and tunnels, passing by the ancient Monastery Morača along the way. Arriving at the starting point in Šljivansko, we embark on an exhilarating rafting adventure on the pristine Tara River. Known as the "Tear of Europe," Tara Canyon is Europe's deepest and the world's second deepest, offering 10 kilometers of thrilling rapids. During the rafting journey, we pause at Ljutica spring, the largest water spring in Europe, and enjoy breaks for photography, swimming, and refreshments. Passing under the iconic Đurđevića Tara Bridge, we continue to Žugića Luka, where our rafting adventure concludes. For those seeking an extra adrenaline rush, the option to experience the Extreme Zipline across the Tara River canyon is available (additional cost). After rafting, we return to Budva, retracing our route, with an estimated travel time of three and a half hours. Arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 7: Budva – Bar via Skadar Lake – Virpazar and Boat Cruise on Skadar Lake

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we check out and make our way from Budva to the Bar area, passing through the picturesque Skadar Lake along the route. En route to Virpazar village, we'll be treated to expansive views of the Skadar-Podgorica Valley. Skadar Lake, established as one of Montenegro's five national parks in 1952, boasts a rich history as the former capital of Montenegro before it was moved to Cetinje. It stands as the largest lake in the Balkans and serves as a significant bird reserve in Europe. The highlight of today's itinerary is a panoramic boat ride, offering stunning vistas of medieval fortifications, monasteries nestled on islands, blooming lotus flowers, and diverse bird species. We'll also visit the private beach Pješačac for a delightful lunch complemented by wine tasting and a chance to swim. Following the wine tasting, we'll embark on a boat ride across Skadar Lake, where the serene surroundings offer glimpses of the majestic Dalmatian pelican and other fascinating bird species. This area benefits from a Mediterranean climate influenced by Skadar Lake and the Adriatic Sea, fostering ideal conditions for grape cultivation. Along the boat tour, we'll have the opportunity to sample traditional local wines. Concluding our day tour, we'll take a scenic 30-minute drive from Virpazar to our accommodations in Bar along the Montenegrin coast. After check-in, you'll have free time to unwind. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay.

  • Day 8: Explore Ulcinj with guided Old Town of Ulcinj tour (Optional Milović Winery)

After breakfast, we depart from Bar to explore the Ulcinj area. Before heading to Ulcinj, we make a captivating stop at Stara Maslina (Old Olive Tree) in Bar, believed to be the oldest olive tree in Europe, boasting a remarkable circumference of 10 meters. Learn about the rich history of this 2244-year-old olive tree, which continues to bear fruit, and discover intriguing legends associated with it. Continuing our journey towards Ulcinj, we arrive at the Old Town of Ulcinj, renowned for its ancient walls dating back over 2500 years. Steeped in history, Ulcinj bears the influence of the Ottoman era, evident in its architecture and cultural heritage, which still resonate today. With its inviting warm waters, sun-drenched days, and array of water activities, Ulcinj stands as one of the premier tourist destinations on the Adriatic coast. Notably, Long Beach (Velika plaža), one of Europe's longest beaches, graces Ulcinj's coastline. Our final destination is the Milović Winery, nestled amidst stunning surroundings bordered by Montenegro's longest beach, the river Bojana, and picturesque mountain ranges. Here, you can indulge in a delectable lunch paired with locally produced wines. Discover the art of grape cultivation in the area and learn about the winemaking techniques that infuse their wines with flavors ranging from forest fruits to vanilla, oak, raspberries, and cranberries. Afterward, we return to our accommodations in Bar, where you'll have free time to relax. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay.

  • Day 9: Explore Old Bar guided tour (optional Canyoning Rikavac tour)

After breakfast, journey to the ruins of Old Bar (Stari Bar), located about 3 km from the center of Bar, nestled on the hill of Londsa at the base of Mount Rumija. Explore the remnants of this ancient town, which transitioned through Roman, Slavic, Venetian, and Ottoman ownership before being destroyed during the 1878 war between Russia and the Ottomans. Once a bustling fortified settlement adorned with grand structures and dedicated to various deities, Old Bar now stands as a testament to its rich history, lying in captivating ruins. Alternatively, you can opt for a thrilling canyoning excursion in Canyon Rikavac, starting beneath the walls of Old Bar. Equipped with necessary gear, follow your experienced guide as you hike to the source of Rikavac. Navigate through the canyon, rappelling down cliffs, jumping or sliding into natural pools, and swimming in the crystal-clear waters. This canyoning adventure is suitable for beginners and families, offering an exciting introduction to the sport. Afterwards, enjoy lunch (not included) before returning to your accommodation in Bar for free time, dinner, and overnight stay.

  • Day 10: Bar – Herceg Novi & Tivat’s Porto Montenegro, Kotor and Perast guided tour

In the morning, check out from your hotel in Bar and embark on a scenic journey to Herceg Novi, your final destination for the last 2 days of your trip. Enjoy picturesque views along the Adriatic coast as you travel, and delve into the rich history and architecture of the coastal towns during a guided sightseeing tour. After about an hour and a half drive, make a stop in Tivat to explore the renowned Porto Montenegro, a luxurious residential village boasting a world-class marina. Continue your journey to Kotor, where you'll enter the Old Town through the Sea Gate and be greeted by the iconic Clock Tower. Immerse yourself in the charming streets and medieval squares, passing by noble palaces that exude Venetian culture and architecture. Explore the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon and the Maritime Museum, delving into Kotor's rich naval history. Next, head to Perast, known for its lavish architecture and captivating history. Embark on a short boat ride to the artificial island "Our Lady of the Rocks," steeped in centuries-old legends and secrets of sailors. Marvel at the paintings adorning the walls and ceiling of the church, and soak in the breathtaking views. Conclude the tour with a 45-minute ride to your accommodation on the Herceg Novi Riviera. Check-in and enjoy some free time before dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 11: Herceg Novi & Monastery Savina (optional)

Nestled in one of Montenegro's most scenic coastal areas, Herceg Novi is renowned for its charming streets adorned with mimosa trees. With its abundance of sunny days throughout the year, it has earned the nickname "The City of the Sun." Explore Kanli Kula, or the "Bloody Tower," a notorious 16th-century prison from Herceg Novi's Turkish era. The Old Town is best experienced by strolling along the pedestrian section of Ulica Njegoševa, featuring elegant 19th-century buildings and leading to Nikola Ðurković square. Here, the grand Clock Tower overlooks the main city gate. Alternatively, indulge in a wine tasting experience at Savina Monastery, nestled at the entrance of the stunning Boka Bay. Surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation, the monastery's vineyards offer insight into coastal winemaking techniques. The Obradovic family shares their expertise and invites you to sample their cellar's products, including the indigenous white varietal, Žižak. (Wine tasting is optional.) After exploring Herceg Novi and Savina, return to your hotel in the Herceg Novi Riviera.

  • Day 12: Departure

On the last day, there are no scheduled activities. We'll arrange for your pick-up from the hotel and transfer to Dubrovnik Airport at the agreed-upon time. Our team will drop you off at Dubrovnik Airport, conveniently located in the parking lot outside the entrance. We trust you'll depart with cherished memories, and we'd be delighted to host you again in the future.
